Even before the visit of the German explorer, Ecuador was described such as a magic place, first of all the people, unique and gently. Ecuador isn’t a huge country but it is the most bio diverse country in the world considering its size
We are owner of “four worlds in the same place”. Thus, what are these four worlds? Of course, is complicate to describe a country in a few words, but it is possible for Ecuador, because it born around legends, stories and languages. So, to live the experience of be starry-eyed by the country here is a sneak peak of it:
The first world, the Rainforest (Amazon), which has plenty of wildlife and indigenous communities, which live in perfect harmony with the nature. If you want to be blushed by unique landscape and nature, the Rainforest is your spot to visit in Ecuador. Also, it is a great opportunity to take a lot of shots and to discover plenty species of birds, insects, reptiles and mammals. Only imagine waking up by the sounds of the howler monkeys, something shuddering, then the beautiful birds sing and late afternoon the insects cover the sounds of the night.
The second world is the Highlands (knows as the Andes). This particular zone is unique because it is surrounded by mountains and it has a lot of biodiverse spots such as the Chocó Region. In the Andes, it is possible to see many species of birds, specially hummingbirds or the national symbol: the Andean Condor. Also you can find mammals like the spectacled bear or the puma. Besides, along of our Highlands you can admire wonderful views, mountains, indigenous markets and its handicrafts, lakes and many activities to do like trekking, horseback riding etc.
The third world is the Coast region. Ecuador is bathed by the Pacific Ocean. In fact, the Coast Region has not only unique landscapes plenty of sun and marine biodiversity. Also, it has great spots to visit like La Plata Island, place where you will observe some of the species found in the Galapagos Archipelago. Our Ecuadorian Coast has beautiful places with white and soft sand beaches and delicious shellfish gastronomy.
Last but not least one unique world of Ecuador! The Galapagos Islands or Enchanted Islands. This spot was declared as “a world heritage" on 1978 by the UNESCO. These islands are in fact, an unpredictable wilderness, a living laboratory of evolution filled with an extraordinary population of unique species, which have developed apart from human influence. The Galapagos is the place where Darwin studied his evolution theory, so important until nowadays.
