Ecuador discovering the andes
During this 8 days tour you will have the opportunity to discover one of the most diverse countries on the planet. You will travel along the Ecuadorian Andes from north to south, discovering its beautiful volcanoes, indigenous markets, national parks, Inca ruins, colonial cities and magical valleys.
Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival in Quito and transfer to Hotel Café Cultura.
Day 2 After breakfast we depart towards the eastern range of the Andes and the Antisana Ecological Reserve, where we will admire the beautiful Mica Lake and the majestic Antisana Volcano (5,758 mts, 18,886.24 ft). This reserve is considered a hot spot for birdwatching and one of the best places to spot the condor in its natural habitat. After a delicious lunch we will continue onto Hacienda El Porvenir where can enjoy a short walk. Dinner and overnight.

Day 3 In the morning we travel to Cotopaxi National Park where we will lunch admiring the majestic Cotopaxi Volcano. Later we will continue on our journey travelling south to arrive at Hacienda Leito, which offers spectacular views of the Tungurahua Volcano which has been in the process of eruption since 2000. Dinner and overnight.
Day 4 After breakfast we will continue our expedition to Baños, a cozy town surrounded by waterfalls which enjoys a perfect climate. After lunch at the beautiful Luna Runtun resort, we will continue on to The Hill Start Refuge located at the foothills of Chimborazo volcano. Dinner and overnight.
Day 5 Breakfast and departure to Guamote where we will board the famous Devil’s Nose train ride, considered one of the most difficult railroads ever built. Box lunch en route and departure to Ingapirca, the most representative Inca ruins in Ecuador. Arrival in Cuenca with dinner and overnight in Santa Lucía Hotel.
Day 6 After breakfast we will have a city tour of this charming city, find out about the famous Panama hats, discover beautiful pottery, visit art galleries and museums. In the afternoon continue exploring Cuenca or if you prefer we can visit Chordeleg and Gualace, nearby towns famous for their local markets and jewelry. Dinner and overnight in Santa Lucía Hotel.
Day 7 During this day we will visit the Cajas National Park where we can find numerous species of flora and fauna and impressive rock formations that surround the group of around 230 lagoons. Lunch and transfer to the airport to catch our flight back to Quito. Dinner and overnight at Café Cultura Hotel.
Day 8 After an unforgettable expedition in Ecuador, filled with culture and nature we are transferred to the airport to catch our flight.
