Ecuador haciendas and markets tours
During this trip you will have the opportunity to experience the atmosphere of the old haciendas of Ecuador and visit the Indian markets such as the famous Otavalo market, where you can find a plentiful variety of handicrafts.
Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival in Quito and transfer to Hotel Café Cultura.
Day 2
In the morning we will travel north from Quito to Hacienda Zuleta, a famous hacienda which was once the property of one of Ecuador’s remarkable presidents and is still owned by his descendants. At this hacienda we will learn about the protection of the Andean condor. After a delicious lunch we will continue our trip on to Cuicocha crater lake. Dinner and overnight at Hacienda Pinsaqui.
Day 3
After an early breakfast we will visit the animal market, the colorful handicraft market (Otavalo market) and the food market. Lunch in Hacienda Cusin and in the afternoon we will meet an Otavalan master weaver who will teach us the original process of their handicrafts. Back to Quito and overnight in Hotel Café Cultura.
Day 4
After an unforgettable expedition in Ecuador, filled with culture and nature we are transferred to the airport to catch our flight.
